The Ember Grasslands
February 11, 2023
- NPCs
- Animals here take refuge in the cool shade of the tall grasses
- The ambient temperature is a scorching 200deg F during the day
- There are also vampyres here, spirits of the sun, who prey upon the living (sunwalkers)
- The moon turns them to ice
- They appear to always be engulfed in flame, but they can move invisibly. They look like a shimmer of gas or heat when they’re cloaked in this way.
- Don’t suck blood, they suck all the hydration from their victims leaving them dessicated
- Plants
- Sparkweed
A blue and yellow flower. Usually grows in bunches in fields, grasslands, and clearings. Carries a small electric charge to ward off predators. When cultivated carefully and dried in the sun, they can be eaten safely. Dried sparkweed creates a gentle popping sensation when it comes in contact with moisture.

- d10 random encounters
- 1d4 vampyres
